Feel free to test any of the options in this forum out. There are quite a few options like BOLD, ITALIC and UNDERLINE which are obvious. Please test out the others including the colour options and font size.

You don't need to register to test but any abusive ones will be removed. they will also be 'pruned' occasionally so don't put anything important in here.

This area is now members only because of spammers taking advantage.

As usual the few have spoilt it for the many.

Their posts were there for only a very short time and as far as I know only a handful of people saw them - Thanks Irene for the heads up on them. I really don't see the point of them doing it - they gained nothing.

The technical answer is that they do a search - probably in Google - on words like "phpBB forum" - then they just set a automatic program to register or visit any that allow non-members to post.

I think all forums have problems - some are quicker than others to remove the 'bad' bits. They also often delete the whole post so members don't even know there was a problem.

I am looking for members who would like to be upgraded to Moderators. These members would be able to delete & edit posts and a few other things. I don't want this forum to be a place where normal posts are censored, closed or deleted just because I don't agree with the contents but I do want it to be a place where rude pictures or spam links are not around.

Anyone interested? You don't have to be on here all the time - just pop in fairly regularly - PM me please

Goodness knows really, sad little twits who enjoy putting links on websites loaded with viruses, try to get peoples email addresses and send them spam emails again full of viruses.

It's amazing that our nice little forum is of such interest to them. They are probably secret knitting fans.... Confused
